Full-Time | Reports to Chief Product & Experience Officer

Location: Ankeny, IA

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a strategic, visionary, and collaborative Vice President of Marketing to lead and elevate its marketing organization while driving meaningful business growth. This executive leadership role is responsible for shaping brand strategy, accelerating customer acquisition and engagement, strengthening customer loyalty, and ensuring a cohesive customer experience across all channels.

This position requires a leader who combines strong business acumen with creativity, emotional intelligence, and a customer-first mindset. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building and leading high-performing marketing teams, developing integrated marketing strategies, and leveraging data-driven insights to deliver measurable business results.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Growth

  • Partner closely with executive leadership to align marketing strategy with overall business objectives and customer experience initiatives.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive, full-funnel marketing strategy that drives customer acquisition, engagement, retention, and revenue growth.
  • Lead demand generation initiatives across paid media, search, email marketing, content marketing, social media, and digital channels.
  • Identify and evaluate new growth opportunities, channels, and customer acquisition strategies.

Brand & Customer Experience

  • Champion a cohesive and consistent brand experience across all customer touchpoints.
  • Strengthen brand positioning, messaging, and storytelling to drive customer engagement and loyalty.
  • Ensure marketing initiatives align with customer needs, market trends, and business priorities.
  • Gather and leverage customer insights to improve marketing effectiveness and enhance the customer journey.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing team.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Create an environment where creativity and business performance can thrive together.
  • Establish clear goals, performance metrics, and development plans for team members.

Digital Marketing & Analytics

  • Oversee marketing performance across all digital channels, including paid social, paid search, email marketing, SEO, content, and web initiatives.
  • Improve marketing attribution and reporting capabilities to better understand campaign effectiveness and return on investment.
  • Utilize analytics and customer data to drive strategic decision-making and optimize marketing investments.
  • Ensure marketing technology platforms are integrated and effectively supporting business objectives.

Budget & Performance Management

  • Manage marketing budgets and resource allocation with a focus on maximizing ROI.
  • Establish KPIs and performance metrics that measure business impact, customer engagement, and marketing effectiveness.
  • Regularly review performance and make adjustments to strategies based on data and market conditions.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive marketing experience with deep expertise in digital marketing, demand generation, and customer acquisition.
  • Minimum of 3 years in a senior marketing leadership role.
  • Proven experience developing and executing successful multi-channel marketing strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of modern digital marketing channels, including paid social, paid search, email marketing, SEO, content marketing, and customer lifecycle marketing.
  • Experience working with modern e-commerce, CRM, and marketing technology platforms.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business decisions.
  • Demonstrated success building, leading, and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience balancing strategic leadership responsibilities with hands-on execution and accountability.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading marketing organizations within consumer products, retail, e-commerce, manufacturing, or related industries.
  • Familiarity with marketing platforms such as BigCommerce, Klaviyo, Triple Whale, HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar technologies.
  • Experience leveraging AI and automation tools to improve marketing effectiveness and operational efficiency.
  • Experience supporting organizations undergoing significant growth, transformation, or brand evolution.
