Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and analyze excavation support systems, such as shoring, bracing, and retaining walls.

  • Conduct geotechnical site investigations, soil testing, and data analysis to assess subsurface conditions.

  • Prepare detailed reports and calculations for excavation safety, ensuring adherence to design standards.

  • Manage and coordinate multiple geotechnical engineering projects concurrently, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.

  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and local authorities to ensure project compliance with regulations.

  • Contribute to the preparation of proposals and cost estimates for new projects.

  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on complex issues.

  • Provide on-site consultation when necessary to ensure construction follows approved plans.


Qualifications:

  • 3 to 10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, specifically with excavation projects.

  • PE or EIT certification preferred (or the ability to obtain it).

  • Hands-on experience with shoring, retaining walls, and foundation design in urban environments.

  • Proficiency with geotechnical design software such as PLAXIS, GeoStudio, and gINT.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for preparing technical reports and interacting with clients and stakeholders.

  • Ability to work independently and manage remote projects.

  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
