Design and analyze excavation support systems, such as shoring, bracing, and retaining walls.
Conduct geotechnical site investigations, soil testing, and data analysis to assess subsurface conditions.
Prepare detailed reports and calculations for excavation safety, ensuring adherence to design standards.
Manage and coordinate multiple geotechnical engineering projects concurrently, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
Collaborate with clients, contractors, and local authorities to ensure project compliance with regulations.
Contribute to the preparation of proposals and cost estimates for new projects.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on complex issues.
Provide on-site consultation when necessary to ensure construction follows approved plans.
3 to 10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, specifically with excavation projects.
PE or EIT certification preferred (or the ability to obtain it).
Hands-on experience with shoring, retaining walls, and foundation design in urban environments.
Proficiency with geotechnical design software such as PLAXIS, GeoStudio, and gINT.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for preparing technical reports and interacting with clients and stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and manage remote projects.
Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
