Job Description

A highly respected engineering firm with a strong reputation in the AEC industry is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join their growing team. Known for delivering high-quality solutions in infrastructure and development, the firm is expanding to meet increased demand across projects involving buildings, roadways, and underground stability systems.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a geotechnical professional with experience in subsurface investigation, slope/slide history analysis, and excavation support design to take on challenging and meaningful projects.


What You'll Do:

  • Lead geotechnical investigations focused on underground stability for both buildings and roadway infrastructure.

  • Evaluate geo-subsurface conditions and conduct detailed analysis of soil/rock profiles, groundwater behavior, and slope stability.

  • Design and analyze shoring systems, support of excavation (SOE), retaining walls, and deep foundation systems.

  • Review and document slide history and geohazard risks to inform safe and sustainable design solutions.

  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports, calculations, and recommendations for structural and civil teams.

  • Support field investigations, oversee testing programs, and provide on-site consultation as required.

  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure designs meet codes and environmental requirements.


What You Bring:

  • 3–10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering with a focus on support of excavation, retaining wall design, and slope stability.

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.

  • PE or EIT certification (preferred or ability to obtain).

  • Proficiency in geotechnical modeling and design software (e.g., PLAXIS, GeoStudio, gINT).

  • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.

  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
