The Regional Grain Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of multiple grain facilities within a designated region. This leadership role ensures efficient, safe, and profitable operations while maintaining high standards in customer service, employee performance, grain quality, and regulatory compliance. The Regional Manager will lead and develop employees, coordinate logistics, manage budgets, and collaborate with the team to support company goals.
Oversee and manage daily grain operations across multiple facility locations, ensuring efficient and safe handling, storage, and shipment of grain.
Supervise, coach, and develop staff to ensure optimal performance, training, and succession planning.
Ensure all facilities operate in compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards (OSHA, EPA, FDA, etc.).
Monitor and manage maintenance programs and capital improvement projects to ensure facilities operate at peak efficiency and reliability.
Collaborate with merchandising, logistics, and customer service teams to align operational capacity with business needs and customer expectations.
Analyze operational data and performance metrics to drive process improvements and cost control measures.
Develop and manage operational budgets, track expenses, and provide regular reporting to senior leadership.
Lead and support emergency preparedness and grain condition management strategies.
Represent the company in local communities and with regulatory bodies as needed.
2+ years of progressive experience in grain facility operations, with experience in a management or supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of grain handling, storage systems, quality control, and logistics.
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams across multiple sites.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with grain management software preferred.
Willingness to travel frequently within the region.
