Job Description

Seeking an Operations Manager to lead production, scheduling, safety, and team performance. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on flexographic printing experience along with a strong leadership background in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. MUST HAVE FLEXOGRAPHIC BACKGROUND TO BE CONSIDERED. 

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily production operations to ensure quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery.
  • Manage production schedules, staffing levels, and workflow to maximize throughput and machine utilization.
  • Lead, coach, and develop supervisors, operators, and production personnel.
  • Monitor and improve KPIs related to productivity, downtime, waste, quality, and labor performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and support operational goals.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime and support preventative maintenance programs.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with planning, customer service, quality, and warehouse teams to maintain seamless operations.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and Label Traxx to manage production data, reporting, scheduling, and team communication.
  • Support hiring, training, employee development, and performance management efforts.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in a flexographic printing, label converting, or related manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience operating, troubleshooting, setting up, or maintaining flexographic printing equipment before moving into leadership roles.
  • Strong understanding of production scheduling, workflow management, quality standards, and manufacturing best practices.
  • Experience managing KPIs and driving improvements in productivity, efficiency, safety, and quality.
  • Proven ability to build strong teams and foster a positive, accountable workplace culture.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and Label Traxx.
