Job Description

This is your chance to work for a growing firm in Atlanta, GA specializing in build-to-suite for well-known, national clients as the Construction Manager for their project team!

The Construction Manager is responsible for leading new store construction and renovations while ensuring development goals are met and ensuring on time delivery within budget.

The Construction Manager reports directly to the Vice President.

Construction Manager Duties & Responsibilities:

Assist Development Manager with scope of work determination

Assist Development Manager with budgeting and value engineering designs where possible

Participate in Development Manager’s design kick-off process

Review and comment on design and 80% review

Review final plans before bid process and permit submission

Have a working knowledge of plans and specs

Daily communication with general contractor management

RFI & Issues Log – review and resolve

Ensure current revisions are incorporated into contract drawings

Coordinate client’s vendors work with the work of the general contractor

Manage Construction Contracts

Managing CMT consultants during construction

Managing PEMB design, orders, fabrication releases, and delivery schedules

Review and Approve Pay Applications

Review Change Orders

Assist Development Manager with the Monthly Loan Draw Preparation

Provide written plan of inspections/approvals required for occupancy.

Participate in turnover coordination meetings with client

Provide orientation and instructions to client’s General Manager
