They’re looking for an experienced Feed Mill Manager ready to move into a Director of Operations role. In this key leadership position, you will oversee the operations of three feed manufacturing facilities, ensuring excellence in quality, production, maintenance, environmental health & safety (EHS), and profitability. You’ll lead facility managers and cross-functional teams to deliver consistent performance while identifying opportunities for operational improvement and scalable growth.
Lead, manage, and mentor operations teams across three production facilities.
Drive accountability for performance metrics across quality, production efficiency, maintenance, EHS, and P&L.
Partner with plant managers to improve productivity, reduce downtime, and optimize cost control measures.
Ensure full compliance with all regulatory and corporate EHS policies.
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives and capital projects.
Collaborate with supply chain, QA, HR, and finance to align operations with broader business goals.
Develop and manage operational budgets and KPIs.
Foster a culture of safety, ownership, and excellence across all locations.
5+ years of feed mill or agribusiness operations management experience.
Proven leadership experience in managing multiple teams or facilities.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, maintenance systems, and quality control.
Experience with budget/P&L responsibility and financial acumen.
Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant EHS regulations.
Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to travel regularly between facilities.
Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Agribusiness, Operations Management, or related field.
Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification a plus.
