Job Description

 Survey Technician 

An established and respected firm in the land development and surveying space is seeking a Survey Technician with 2–5 years of industry experience to join their growing team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Process field-collected data into accurate plats and legal descriptions
  • Draft detailed drawings from field data, sketches, and instructions
  • Perform deed and title research, abstract records, and assist in base map preparation
  • Support field crews with data setup and final drawing production
  • Review work for accuracy prior to submission to RPLS
  • Coordinate with internal teams and support project schedules and budget
  • Interpret regulatory guidelines from public agencies
  • Assist in technical documentation and communication with team members

Qualifications:

  • 2–5 years of experience in the Surveying or Civil Engineering field
  • Solid understanding of survey data and ability to guide field operations
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment
  • FS Exam passed or in progress is a plus
