Position Overview:
The firm seeks a talented and ambitious Insurance Defense Associate Attorney to join their growing team. In this role, you will manage a variety of insurance defense matters, including personal injury, property damage, and professional liability claims. You’ll collaborate closely with seasoned attorneys and actively contribute to case strategy and client advocacy.
Key Responsibilities:
Represent clients in insurance defense matters through all phases of litigation.
Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents.
Conduct in-depth legal research and prepare detailed memoranda on complex issues.
Handle depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances.
Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop and execute case strategies.
Negotiate settlements and manage case files with diligence and accuracy.
Maintain clear, professional communication with clients, offering timely advice and updates.
Stay current on legal developments and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the Oregon Bar (required).
2+ years of experience in insurance defense or a related litigation practice area (preferred).
Strong litigation skills and ability to handle complex matters independently.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and efficient.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
