Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Fitter with 3+ years of experience in the tubular steel pole manufacturing or telecom sector. This position operates on the 2nd shift (5 PM – 3 AM). The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, fitting, and maintaining tubular steel poles and associated telecom components, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble, fit, and install tubular steel poles and telecom components according to technical drawings and specifications.
Perform accurate measurements, alignments, and adjustments to ensure structural integrity.
Conduct inspections, maintenance, and repairs on tubular steel poles and related equipment.
Collaborate effectively with engineers, welders, and other trades.
Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
Identify and report material or workmanship defects.
Comply with all health and safety regulations.
Participate in training for continuous skills improvement.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience as a fitter, preferably in the tubular steel pole or telecom industry.
Strong mechanical skills with an understanding of steel fabrication.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
Proficient with hand and power tools, and measuring instruments.
Physically fit, able to work at heights and outdoors.
Knowledge of safety standards and procedures.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Relevant certifications or trade qualifications are a plus.
Working Conditions:
Work in manufacturing plants and warehouses.
Exposure to noise, dust, and weather variations.
Work at heights and in confined spaces.
2nd shift hours: 5:00 PM to 3:00 AM. + OT Available/Mandatory
PPE usage is mandatory.
