Senior Associate Attorney – Product Liability Defense (Costa Mesa)

A well-established defense firm is seeking an experienced attorney with 6–12 years of product liability experience to join its thriving team in Costa Mesa or Torrence. Remote candidates located anywhere in California may be considered—provided they are willing to travel as needed. This position can be structured as a Senior Associate, Senior Counsel, or Junior Partner, depending on experience and career goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product liability defense and be comfortable taking a leading role in complex litigation matters. This is a strategic hire offering high-level responsibility, excellent mentorship, and the opportunity to be part of a successful and growing practice group. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle all phases of product liability cases from inception through trial or settlement

  • Develop case strategy, manage discovery, take/defend depositions, draft pleadings and motions

  • Work directly with clients, including Fortune 500 companies and major manufacturers

  • Supervise and mentor junior attorneys (if at Counsel/Partner level)

Qualifications:

  • 6–12 years of product liability defense experience

  • Licensed to practice in California and in good standing

  • Strong litigation skills and the ability to manage high-stakes matters

  • Excellent writing, research, and oral advocacy skills

  • Willingness to travel for depositions, court appearances, and client meetings

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range: $195K–$230K, depending on experience
