A nationally recognized and rapidly growing General Contractor based in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Commercial Estimator to join their high-performing team. 🔍 Responsibilities:
Review and analyze plans, specifications, and documents to understand scope and project goals
Perform detailed quantity takeoffs using Active Takeoff (similar to PlanSwift/OnScreen)
Prepare accurate, competitive cost estimates across all phases: labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and permits
Solicit bids from vendors and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing
Produce detailed bid packages and cost breakdowns for client submission
Collaborate with PMs, architects, and engineers to align budgets with project objectives
Work across diverse commercial sectors including retail, hospitality, industrial, healthcare, and education
✅ Requirements:
Proven estimating experience in commercial construction
Proficiency with takeoff software (Active Takeoff preferred)
Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and market pricing
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously and meet deadlines
