Consumer and Cards Underwriter Credit Analyst

As a Consumer debt Credit Analyst or Underwriter, you will play a crucial role in overseeing risk management strategies related to unsecured credit products. You will be responsible for analyzing and mitigating risks, optimizing software usage, and providing recommendations to enhance credit product offerings. Your expertise in risk, underwriting, fraud, and debit bankcard collections monitoring will be essential in ensuring the company's financial stability and compliance. Bank Cards, Credit Cards, Debit Cards.
Position Responsibilities:
- Implement credit and Underwriting strategies for consumer unsecured credit products
- Utilize Data Analysiss, software, and other internal tools of the trade for quality control
- Monitor and analyze credit card collections and fraud activities to assure compliance
- Utilize software tools to optimize risk assessment and fraud detection processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Conduct data analysis to measure the effectiveness of credit product recommendations and make necessary adjustments as needed
Position Essential Job Functions:
- Underwriting consumer applications for unsecured credit products
- Work with team and practice consistent methods and practices
- Build projections and credit product recommendations based on data analysis
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize credit product usage and profitability
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes related to risk management
Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of two years of experience in banking doing underwriting, or related roles
- Strong understanding of unsecured credit products and associated risks
- Proficiency in data analysis and ability to make informed decisions based on insights
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Benefits:
- Competitive salary range of $65,000 to $80,000
