Assistant Superintendent - Construction
Our client is a leading general contractor with a long-standing reputation for delivering high-quality commercial construction projects throughout Oklahoma and beyond. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join their team in Oklahoma City.
Position Overview:
As an Assistant Superintendent, you’ll support the Superintendent in overseeing day-to-day on-site construction operations for ground-up and renovation commercial projects. This is a key field leadership role focused on safety, schedule, quality, and coordination of subcontractors and materials.
Responsibilities:
Assist in managing all on-site construction activities to ensure project is completed on time and within budget
Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, deliveries, and site logistics
Enforce site safety and compliance with OSHA and company standards
Support scheduling and sequencing of work to maintain project timelines
Maintain daily reports, field documentation, and communicate progress to project team
Help lead site meetings and walk-throughs with stakeholders
Ensure quality control and adherence to plans and specifications
Work closely with the Superintendent, Project Manager, and trade partners to resolve field issues
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in commercial construction
Strong understanding of construction methods, safety practices, and scheduling
Familiarity with reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications
Proficiency with construction software (Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project a plus)
Excellent communication and organizational skills
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Construction Management a plus)
OSHA 10/30 certification preferred
