Litigation Associate Attorney – San Diego (Business Litigation)

A well-regarded mid-sized firm is seeking a Litigation Associate to join its team in the San Diego office. This position focuses on complex business litigation and offers the opportunity to work closely with seasoned litigators in a collaborative environment. Hybrid flexibility is available. The ideal candidate will have 4–7 years of litigation experience, be licensed in California, and possess a strong foundation in written and oral advocacy. The role offers significant responsibility, including direct client interaction, motion practice, depositions, and potential trial involvement. This is a great opportunity for a mid-level litigator to grow their practice in a supportive and well-established firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Handling a variety of business litigation matters from inception to resolution
  • Conducting legal research and drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs
  • Taking and defending depositions
  • Arguing motions and participating in court appearances
  • Collaborating closely with partners and team members
  • Managing client communication and strategy development

Qualifications:

  • 4–7 years of litigation experience required
  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Active California Bar membership in good standing
  • Strong research, writing, and courtroom skills
  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base salary: $165K–$210K DOE
  • Year-end discretionary bonus eligibility
  • Full benefits package
