Position Description

The Shipping and Receiving Specialist will be responsible for setting up and managing the shipping and receiving process at our facility. They will also be directly involved in receiving raw materials, preparing and packaging finished goods for shipping, and ensuring that all logistical requirements are being met. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with experience in shipping and receiving, a strong work ethic, and excellent organizational skills.

What You’ll “Mostly” Do

  • Receive incoming shipments and compare them with purchase orders to ensure accuracy
  • Inspect shipments for damages, defects, or discrepancies and report any issues to necessary parties
  • Process outgoing shipments, including picking, packing, labeling, and shipping products
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through ERP system
  • Prepare shipping documents, such as packing slips
  • Coordinate with our drivers to schedule pick-ups and deliveries
  • Communicate with sales and internal teams to resolve shipping and receiving issues
  • Maintain a clean and organized shipping and receiving area
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently
  • Adhere to safety procedures and company policies at all times
  • Perform heavily physical tasks that may include lifting up to 60lbs
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Bonus Superpowers:

  • Experience in shipping and receiving, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with JobBOSS (ERP System)
  • Forklift certification
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
