Workers’ Compensation Attorney (Remote) – Seattle, WA

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Workers’ Compensation Associate Attorney to join a well-established and growing law firm headquartered in Seattle, Washington.

About the Role

This is a fully remote opportunity for an attorney interested in building a long-term career in workers’ compensation defense. The ideal candidate will have 1–5 years of legal experience and be licensed to practice in Washington State. This position offers direct mentorship, hands-on experience, and a clear succession plan for future leadership and advancement within the firm.

Responsibilities

  • Manage workers’ compensation matters from intake through resolution
  • Communicate effectively with clients, claims professionals, and opposing counsel
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and legal correspondence
  • Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and other case-related proceedings
  • Develop case strategies and assist with settlement negotiations
  • Maintain organized case files and meet litigation deadlines
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys while progressively assuming greater responsibility

Qualifications

  • Licensed and in good standing with the Washington State Bar
  • 1–5 years of legal experience preferred
  • Workers’ compensation experience is a plus, but not required
  • Strong interest in workers’ compensation and litigation practice
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $80,000 – $90,000, depending on experience
  • Annual billable requirement of 1,300 hours or less, supporting a healthy work-life balance
