We’re working with a highly respected manufacturer that is actively seeking a Casting Engineer to lead quality improvement initiatives and provide technical leadership across investment casting operations. This role plays a pivotal part in maintaining quality standards, supporting technical quoting, and ensuring certification compliance—all while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Position Overview
The Casting Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining systems that ensure consistent product quality and operational efficiency. This role will collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, sales, and production teams to support new part introductions, solve technical challenges, and maintain industry certifications.
Key Responsibilities
Lead quality improvement initiatives focused on reducing defects and improving product consistency.
Manage and enhance quality control systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
Create and maintain quality documentation including inspection plans, testing procedures, and process documentation.
Collaborate across departments to address technical concerns and improve product performance.
Oversee quality assurance from prototype through full production for new investment casting part launches.
Conduct audits, collect and analyze performance data, and recommend process enhancements.
Support additional quality and compliance-related activities as needed.
Qualifications
Experience in investment casting or similar casting technologies.
Strong understanding of metallurgical principles and process flow documentation.
Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and technical documents.
Hands-on manufacturing experience; familiarity with SolidWorks and foundry environments is a strong plus.
