Position: Superintendent – Heavy Civil Construction

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee and manage heavy civil construction projects, including roadways, bridges, and site development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy civil construction, with the ability to lead teams, ensure safety compliance, and maintain project schedules and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities on-site

  • Manage and direct subcontractors, laborers, and equipment operators

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies

  • Monitor project progress and report on schedule and budget adherence

  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to specifications

  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including timecards, reports, and material usage

  • Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to resolve issues and implement solutions

  • Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety meetings and inspections

  • Ensure proper handling and storage of materials and equipment

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Superintendent in heavy civil construction projects

  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment

  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety standards

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
