Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Waste and Recycling Route Manager to oversee daily collection operations, optimize route efficiency, and lead a team of drivers across the Pacific Northwest. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on safety, service excellence, and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily waste and recycling collection routes
  • Lead, coach, and support drivers and route supervisors
  • Monitor route productivity, service levels, and KPIs
  • Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards
  • Analyze route data and implement efficiency improvements
  • Coordinate fleet utilization and maintenance schedules
  • Resolve customer service issues and operational challenges
  • Support budgeting, staffing, and operational planning

Requirements

  • 3+ years' experience in waste management, transportation, logistics, or fleet operations
  • Previous supervisory or management experience
  • Strong route optimization and operational planning skills
  • Knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • Proficiency with routing, dispatch, and fleet management systems
