Pre-Litigation Associate Attorney (1-3 years experience)

 

A growing plaintiff-side personal injury law firm is seeking a Pre-Litigation Attorney to join its team. This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of a substantial caseload and play a critical role in maximizing case value before litigation becomes necessary.

The ideal candidate will have prior personal injury experience and a strong understanding of case evaluation, medical treatment analysis, insurance coverage, and settlement negotiations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a high-volume pre-litigation caseload (approximately 150–200+ matters).

  • Review and analyze insurance policies and available coverage to identify all potential sources of recovery.

  • Guide clients through the treatment process and provide strategic case oversight.

  • Evaluate whether medical treatment is consistent with the mechanism of injury and supports causation.

  • Assess the reasonableness and necessity of treatment in relation to the facts of the case and available policy limits.

  • Communicate regularly with clients, medical providers, and insurance carriers.

  • Draft and negotiate settlement demands upon completion of treatment.

  • Develop strategies to maximize settlement outcomes while efficiently advancing cases toward resolution.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

  • Active TX License

  • Prior personal injury experience required.

  • Attorneys with 1–3 years of experience are encouraged to apply.

  • Top one-third law school academic performance preferred.

  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and client-management skills.

  • Ability to effectively manage a large caseload while maintaining attention to detail.
