Job Title: Legal Assistant/Paralegal(Litigation Support)

Location: Danvers, MA (In-Person)

Job Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $60,000 – $75,000 annually (commensurate with experience and qualifications)

Overview: A well-established law firm, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant with 3–5 years of experience to provide secretarial and paralegal support to one or two attorneys in its Danvers office. This role involves comprehensive litigation support, including e-filing, case management, legal research, and document preparation. A strong understanding of court rules and procedural requirements is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage attorney calendars, including scheduling depositions, hearings, meetings, and travel arrangements
  • Open and maintain new case files, enter attorney time, and prepare expense reports
  • Prepare and e-file court documents in both state and federal courts
  • Draft pleadings, discovery responses, motions, and other legal documents
  • Conduct legal research and organize case materials and exhibits
  • Maintain accurate electronic and physical case files
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
  • Assist with trial preparation, including document organization and witness coordination

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of legal assistant or litigation support experience
  • Insurance defense litigation experience preferred (approximately 3+ years ideal)
  • Strong knowledge of court rules and filing procedures (state and federal)
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree required
