Our well-established law firm is seeking a dedicated and driven Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney to join our growing practice. We specialize in defending employers, insurers, and third-party administrators against workers' compensation claims. Position Overview:

We are looking for a Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney with 2+ years of experience to handle a variety of workers' compensation cases. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on complex matters, provide strategic counsel to clients, and gain hands-on experience in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in workers' compensation defense cases, including claim investigations, hearings, and appeals.
  • Advise employers, insurers, and third-party administrators on workers' compensation law and claim management.
  • Draft legal pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
  • Conduct discovery, including depositions and subpoenas.
  • Participate in case strategy meetings and collaborate with senior attorneys to develop defense strategies.
  • Manage a caseload of workers' compensation cases from inception to resolution.
  • Represent clients at workers' compensation hearings and before the Workers' Compensation Commission.
  • Stay current on workers' compensation laws and regulations, as well as case law developments.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • 2+ years of experience in workers' compensation law, preferably in defense.
  • Strong understanding of workers' compensation laws and regulations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload and work independently.
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Admission to the Pennsylvania State Bar (or ability to be admitted promptly).
