Quality Control Manager – Structural Steel Fabrication

Job Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated Quality Control Manager to oversee all aspects of quality assurance and inspection within our fabrication processes. The ideal candidate will ensure that our products meet or exceed industry standards, client requirements, and internal quality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and standards across all fabrication activities

  • Lead and manage quality control staff and inspection processes

  • Perform inspections and testing to ensure compliance with AWS D1.5 and other applicable standards

  • Review welds, materials, and workmanship for conformance to specifications

  • Utilize NDE techniques and interpret results to guarantee product integrity and safety

  • Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and corrective actions

  • Collaborate closely with production, engineering, and project management teams to resolve quality issues

  • Conduct training and audits to improve quality awareness and performance across the company

  • Stay current on industry regulations, standards, and best practices

Qualifications:

  • Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification required

  • Level 2 Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) certification required

  • Proven experience in quality control within structural steel fabrication or related industries

  • Strong knowledge of AWS D1.5 and other relevant welding and fabrication standards

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high quality and safety standards
