Job Summary

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating daily maintenance activities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment and facilities. This role supervises maintenance technicians, prioritizes work orders, and drives preventive and corrective maintenance programs to minimize downtime and support production goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of maintenance technicians (mechanical, electrical, and controls)
  • Plan, schedule, and assign preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance work
  • Ensure timely response to equipment breakdowns and production issues
  • Promote and enforce safety policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance
  • Troubleshoot and support maintenance activities involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation systems
  • Collaborate with Production and Engineering to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and spare parts inventory
  • Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce repeat failures
  • Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and capital projects
  • Train, mentor, and develop maintenance team members

Required Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Maintenance Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Experience working with CMMS systems and maintenance planning
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and manuals
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing, machinery, automotive, aerospace, or similar environments
  • PLC troubleshooting experience
  • Predictive maintenance experience (vibration analysis, thermography, etc.)
  • OSHA safety training or maintenance-related certifications

Work Environment

This role operates primarily in a manufacturing plant environment and requires hands-on involvement on the shop floor.
