gpac is excited to partner with a well-established Commercial Contractor. This company is in need of a General Superintendent who has at least 15 years of ground-up experience. The General Superintendent position is responsible for providing leadership to our Superintendents in the completion of various commercial construction and renovation projects. The candidate should have a broad knowledge of construction and have a proven track record in the commercial construction industry.
General Superintendent Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Oversee and direct the day to day activities at the project site
• Set schedules and deadlines
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Address job site issues and ensure that projects stay on track and within budget
• Make sure the project is completed on time
• Assist in the development of project estimates, budgets, and subcontracts
• Monitor and audit job costs
• Maintain positive relationships with owners, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders
• Effectively communicate with company personnel and site personnel
• Provide direction and support to project personnel
• Any other duties related to the position
The General Superintendent should have the following essential job functions and skills:
• 15 years of industrial construction experience
• Knowledge of construction and renovation techniques
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to problem solve and think critically
• Knowledge of safety protocols
• Proven track record of successful projects
• Leadership experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
