Job Title: Heavy Civil Project Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to support the successful execution of heavy civil infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have experience working in fast-paced construction environments and will play a key role in supporting project planning, coordination, and execution. Projects include dams, levees, water control structures, large diameter utilities, mass excavation, and other critical civil infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Support Project Managers and field teams with daily project coordination and technical tasks.
Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules using Primavera CPM or similar software.
Interpret project plans, specifications, and shop drawings.
Coordinate submittals, RFIs, change orders, and document control.
Perform quantity takeoffs and support cost estimating efforts.
Monitor field progress and assist with quality control and compliance efforts.
Communicate effectively with contractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.
Support project close-out and documentation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Project Engineer, Field Engineer, or QC Technician on heavy civil projects.
Knowledge of Primavera CPM scheduling and CAD software.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Background check and drug testing required.
Experience in heavy civil site projects, including water control structures, levees, concrete, and mass excavation, is a plus.
