The Opportunity

A well-established, growing public accounting and advisory firm is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join its Birmingham, AL office. This firm offers a strong platform with a diverse client base, collaborative culture, and long-term career growth opportunities.

The Audit Manager will play a key role in leading engagements, mentoring staff, and delivering high-quality audit services while maintaining strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and lead multiple audit engagements from planning through completion

• Review audit workpapers and financial statements for accuracy and compliance

• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and maintain strong relationships

• Supervise, mentor, and develop audit staff and seniors

• Ensure adherence to firm standards, timelines, and budgets

• Assist with process improvements and firm growth initiatives

Qualifications

• 3+ years of public accounting experience with an audit focus

• CPA or EA license preferred (or actively pursuing)

• Experience managing or leading audit engagements

• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills

• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
