Job Description

We have a well-established Construction Firm that has a need for Structural Engineer.  This company is well established in Wisconsin with over 50 years in the Commercial and Industrial industries.

 PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Plan, design and draw structures using engineering/drawing/drafting software
  • Collaborate with clients and internal team to determine project requirements and constructability
  • Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • Identify and mitigate project risks to minimize disruptions and delays
  • Provide technical advice regarding design, construction or structural repairs
  • Evaluate technical data to determine effect on designs or plans
  • Estimate quantity and cost of materials, equipment or labor to determine project feasibility
  • Prepare proposal documents

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
  • Proficiency in engineering software (AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, Revit, SketchUp, etc.)
  • Ability and desire to become licensed as a Professional Engineer in the State of Wisconsin

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years Structural Engineering Experience
  • Familiarity with pre-engineered steel building construction techniques
  • Knowledge of Wisconsin State Building Codes and local regulations
  • Hands-on construction experience
