Job Description

We are seeking a Dual Licensed General Liability Attorney to join our growing insurance defense practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced litigator who is looking to take ownership of their caseload while working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Position Overview

In this role, you will represent our clients in general liability and insurance defense matters, including claims involving bodily injury, property damage, and negligence. You will manage cases from inception through resolution, with opportunities to gain trial experience and further develop your litigation skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently manage a caseload of general liability and insurance defense matters
• Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, and motion practice
• Appear in court, mediations, and trials as needed
• Communicate directly with clients, insurance carriers, and opposing counsel
• Maintain accurate and timely billing in accordance with client guidelines
• Develop litigation strategies and evaluate risk exposure

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice in Illinois and Indiana (required)
• 5+ years of experience in insurance defense/general liability litigation
• Experience handling Indiana-based matters strongly preferred
• Familiarity with billing requirements and litigation guidelines
• Not required, but having prior experience in Employment law helps.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $120,000 – $150,000 (based on experience)
• 1950 billable hour requirement
