About the Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Employee Benefits Specialist to join a growing insurance agency. This role will support Employee Benefits producers and clients by managing renewals, servicing accounts, preparing proposals, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong understanding of employee benefits programs and insurance operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day service needs for Employee Benefits clients.
  • Prepare renewal documents, benefit comparisons, and marketing materials.
  • Coordinate with carriers to obtain quotes, policy information, and coverage updates.
  • Assist with open enrollment meetings and employee education initiatives.
  • Review policies and plan designs for accuracy and compliance.
  • Process applications, policy changes, and renewals.
  • Respond to client inquiries regarding medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefits.
  • Maintain accurate client records and documentation within agency management systems.
  • Support producers in new business development and account retention efforts.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of Employee Benefits insurance experience preferred.
  • Life & Health License preferred or ability to obtain quickly.
  • Knowledge of group health, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefits.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and agency management systems.
  • Experience working with carrier portals and enrollment platforms is a plus.
