Senior Superintendent – Multifamily Construction
A leading multifamily contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to oversee field operations on large-scale multifamily construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established builder with a strong backlog of work, a reputation for quality, and a pipeline of projects that provides long-term stability and growth.
The ideal candidate is a proven field leader with extensive multifamily construction experience who can manage complex projects, coordinate multiple trades, and drive schedules while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead all on-site construction activities for multifamily projects from groundbreaking through turnover · Manage Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, subcontractors, and field personnel · Develop and maintain project schedules in coordination with Project Managers · Coordinate and sequence multiple trades to ensure efficient project execution · Ensure projects remain on schedule and within established budgets · Conduct quality control inspections throughout all phases of construction · Enforce job site safety and OSHA compliance standards · Identify and resolve field issues proactively to prevent project delays · Communicate project progress with ownership, leadership, clients, and project teams · Oversee project closeout, punch lists, and turnover activities
Qualifications
· 10+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial or multifamily construction · Extensive experience managing ground-up multifamily projects · Experience leading projects valued at $20M+ preferred · Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, scheduling, and field operations · Proven ability to manage multiple trades and large subcontractor teams · Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications · Stable work history with reputable multifamily or commercial contractors · Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Compensation and Benefits
