Food Service Director – New York, New York - Skilled Nursing Facility
We are seeking an experienced Food Service Director to lead dietary operations within a skilled nursing facility. This role is responsible for supervising food service staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering high-quality, resident-centered dining.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and schedule food service staff
Oversee food preparation, storage, sanitation, and tray accuracy
Manage ordering, purchasing, and inventory
Assist on tray line as needed
Coordinate food service for special events
Lead staff training and orientation
Qualifications
CDM certification required
High school diploma or equivalent
Long-term care or healthcare food service experience strongly preferred
ServSafe and/or Sodexo certification preferred
Knowledge of large-scale and therapeutic food preparation
Strong leadership and communication skills
