Job Description

We have a well-established Construction Firm that has a need for a Professional Land Surveyor.  This company is well established in Wisconsin with over 50 years in the Commercial and Industrial industries.

 PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct land surveys to determine boundaries, topography, and legal descriptions for properties, including new and existing developments
  • Use advanced surveying tools such as GPS and robotic total stations to gather data
  • Prepare detailed survey reports, maps, and legal documents, frequently completing certified survey maps, plat of surveys, topography surveys and residential site plans and occasionally performing ALTA surveys and subdivision plats
  • Perform research on property records, deeds, and titles to verify property lines and resolve discrepancies
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal surveying laws and regulations
  • Provide expertise and guidance during the design and construction phases of a project
  • Maintain accurate and organized survey files, records, and maps
  • Assist in preparing permit applications and provide testimony in court or hearings if needed
  • Build and maintain customer relationships

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Licensed as a Professional Land Surveyor in Wisconsin
  • Experience with AutoCAD or Civil 3D, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Valid Wisconsin driver’s license
  • Ability to navigate uneven terrain and work outdoors in all weather conditions

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5 or more years of field/office experience in surveying, performing topographic surveys, construction staking, boundary surveys, right-of-way plats
  • Demonstrated experience independently completing surveys
  • In depth knowledge of Wisconsin state statues and administrative rules, specifically those governing boundary creation and establishment, surveying techniques, and the preparation of survey maps and plats
