Responsibilities:
Manage all phases of litigation, including pre-suit investigation, discovery, trial preparation, and post-trial filings
Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses in Virginia state and federal courts
Coordinate and manage discovery, including document review, production, and subpoena preparation
Assist with trial preparation, including exhibit lists, witness coordination, trial binders, and courtroom support
Conduct legal and factual research as needed
Maintain case calendars, deadlines, and docketing in compliance with court rules
Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and vendors
Ensure compliance with Virginia procedural rules and local court requirements
Qualifications:
Minimum 8 years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably in Virginia
Strong knowledge of Virginia state courts and federal court procedures
Experience with e-filing systems (e.g., Virginia courts and CM/ECF)
Proficiency in legal software (case management systems, document management, Microsoft Office)
Excellent organizational, writing, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines independently
Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience preferred
