Position Overview

The Commercial Lines Account Manager will be responsible for managing a book of business consisting of small to mid-size commercial accounts. This role involves maintaining client relationships, handling renewals, processing endorsements, and supporting Producers with new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact for assigned commercial lines clients.

  • Manage the day-to-day servicing of commercial P&C policies including policy changes, certificates, and endorsements.

  • Handle policy renewals, remarkets, and audits.

  • Review insurance policies for accuracy and ensure coverages align with client needs.

  • Work closely with insurance carriers and underwriters to negotiate favorable terms.

  • Provide guidance to clients regarding coverage, claims process, and risk management best practices.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in the agency management system (e.g., Applied Epic, AMS360).

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in commercial lines account management or insurance service.

  • Active Property & Casualty insurance license required.

  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, including general liability, commercial auto, property, and workers’ compensation.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

  • Proficiency with agency management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with industry software (e.g., Applied Epic, Vertafore, etc.).

  • CISR or CIC designation is a plus.
