Manufacturing Engineer
Responsibilities:
Determine manufacturing methods and sequences, select fixturing, specify raw materials, and coordinate outsourced work with local vendors.
Prepare detailed cost estimates for precision-machined components, with a strong focus on quoting.
Provide process engineering support to production, ensuring clear and accurate manufacturing process instructions and feedback.
Apply time standards to shop operations.
Enter routing data into the database to calculate required completion times and to document detailed procedures for each manufacturing step.
Demonstrate proficiency with GD&T, technical drawings, Siemens NX, Mastercam (or equivalent software).
Utilize CAD software (such as CadKey or AutoCAD) to create blueprints for vendors, design fixtures, and develop manufacturing processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent relevant experience.
Broad knowledge of machine tools and their capabilities for routing precision components effectively.
Experience in CNC programming, production machining, and tool room operations is a plus.
Ability to read, interpret, and analyze manufacturing drawings, technical publications, financial reports, and applicable documentation.
Capable of addressing inquiries or resolving issues from employees, regulatory agencies, or business partners.
