Job Description

Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Determine manufacturing methods and sequences, select fixturing, specify raw materials, and coordinate outsourced work with local vendors.

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for precision-machined components, with a strong focus on quoting.

  • Provide process engineering support to production, ensuring clear and accurate manufacturing process instructions and feedback.

  • Apply time standards to shop operations.

  • Enter routing data into the database to calculate required completion times and to document detailed procedures for each manufacturing step.

  • Demonstrate proficiency with GD&T, technical drawings, Siemens NX, Mastercam (or equivalent software).

  • Utilize CAD software (such as CadKey or AutoCAD) to create blueprints for vendors, design fixtures, and develop manufacturing processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Broad knowledge of machine tools and their capabilities for routing precision components effectively.

  • Experience in CNC programming, production machining, and tool room operations is a plus.

  • Ability to read, interpret, and analyze manufacturing drawings, technical publications, financial reports, and applicable documentation.

  • Capable of addressing inquiries or resolving issues from employees, regulatory agencies, or business partners.
