Position Overview

As a Bridge Engineer, you will be responsible for all phases of bridge and structural design, including new construction, rehabilitation, and inspection support. You will work with a team of experienced engineers delivering high-quality solutions for transportation structures.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural design for bridges, box culverts, retaining walls, and related structures.
• Prepare design calculations, structural analysis, and CAD drawings for steel girders, prestressed concrete girders, decks, abutments, piers, footings, walls, and other components.
• Conduct structural load ratings and respond to RFIs.
• Perform field assessments and inspections for existing structures and projects under construction.
• Collaborate with design teams to meet project schedules, budgets, and technical standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering required.
• 5+ years of experience in bridge engineering and design.
• PE or SE license preferred (EITs on track for licensure are strongly encouraged to apply).
• Proficiency with engineering software such as Bentley MicroStation, OpenRoads, and OpenBridge preferred.
• Familiarity with design codes and manuals including AASHTO LRFD, AREMA, and state DOT bridge manuals.
• Strong technical skills in superstructure and substructure design for steel and concrete bridges.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment to complete assignments on time and within budget.
