Job Description

Are you an experienced Manufacturing Engineer ready to make a real impact in advanced machining? We’re looking for a hands-on expert to lead the development, programming, and optimization of CNC turning processes supporting high-mix, precision contract manufacturing across aerospace, energy, and industrial markets.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and optimize vertical, horizontal, and multi-axis turning processes.
  • Create and maintain CNC programs in TopSolid (or equivalent CAM software).
  • Design effective tooling, fixturing, and workholding for new and existing jobs.
  • Lead process prove-outs, first-article runs, and cycle time improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with machinists, quality, and engineering teams to ensure efficient, stable production.
  • Troubleshoot machining and process issues on the shop floor.
  • Provide input for quoting and manufacturability assessments.
  • Drive continuous improvement in productivity, quality, and cost reduction.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of manufacturing engineering or CNC programming experience in turning.
  • Strong background in vertical/horizontal turning, GD&T, tooling optimization, and blueprint reading.
  • CAM programming experience in TopSolid or similar systems.
  • Comfortable working directly with machinists and operators in a production setting.
  • Experience in turn-mill, aerospace, or high-mix contract machining environments a plus.
  • Working knowledge of fixture design, AS9100, and process validation/FAI preferred.
