Job Title: Quality Engineer
Summary:
The Quality Engineer ensures product quality through engineering best practices, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement. This role supports compliance with ISO 9001 and internal standards, driving quality from design through production.
Requirements:
Education:
High School diploma or GED required; engineering degree preferred
Experience:
Minimum 2 years in a quality or manufacturing engineering role
Skills:
Strong communication, reporting, and analytical skills
Proficient in blueprints, GD&T, SPC, Cpk/Cp, and quality tools
Familiar with CMM, measuring equipment, and machining processes
Comfortable working independently; knowledge of firearms a plus
Responsibilities:
Develop and improve quality systems to meet internal and ISO 9001 standards
Collaborate with engineering, production, and purchasing to resolve quality issues
Create and maintain control plans, QA procedures, and inspection documentation
Analyze product trends and quality data; drive corrective actions
Support pre-production and production QA efforts
Conduct internal audits and prepare quality reports
Physical Requirements:
Regularly stand, sit, walk, and use hands; lift up to 25–35 lbs as needed
Must meet vision and mobility requirements to perform quality inspections
