Key Responsibilities

As the Commercial Masonry Superintendent, you’ll take full ownership of the jobsite, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity throughout every phase of construction. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading daily safety inspections and ensuring scaffolding and jobsite readiness
  • Conducting toolbox talks and maintaining all required safety documentation
  • Pre-planning and scheduling weekly activities, coordinating labor and on-site logistics
  • Reviewing construction drawings and specs to ensure a high-quality masonry product
  • Collaborating with general contractors and supervising subcontracted masonry crews
  • Managing permitting, digital reporting, and daily project documentation
  • Participating in regular progress meetings and maintaining accurate daily reports

Project Types

You’ll work on a wide range of commercial masonry projects, including:

  • CMU-based commercial structures
  • Government buildings (e.g., Coast Guard facilities)
  • Educational institutions, healthcare facilities, and clean rooms
  • Office suites, parking decks, power and utility plants
  • Precast and veneer systems, seismic-compliant and earthquake-resistant builds
  • Both new construction and complex retrofit projects

Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial masonry
  • At least 1 year in a superintendent or leadership role
  • Proven experience with load-bearing CMU (non-negotiable requirement)
  • Comfortable with digital reporting tools; Procore experience is a plus
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • Clean background and a stable, verifiable work history

Work Schedule & Benefits

  • Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM (40–45 hours/week)
  • Weekly pay schedule
