Our well-established law firm in Pennsylvania is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a professional with strong organizational and communication skills who is looking to work in a collaborative, client-focused legal environment. Litigation experience is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys.
Draft and prepare legal documents and correspondence.
Handle proofreading, scanning projects, and assembling binders.
File legal pleadings with courts and administrative agencies, including e-filings.
Edit legal documents such as briefs and interrogatories.
Process new client matters and assist with opening and maintaining case files.
Enter, review, and revise attorneys' time entries.
Create and update Excel spreadsheets using basic formulas.
Manage PDF files including converting, extracting, and form creation.
Schedule meetings, manage attorney calendars, and prepare expense reports.
Keep the reception area clean and professional; manage office supplies and inventory.
Perform clerical duties such as filing, scanning, photocopying, and faxing.
Answer and route incoming phone calls; greet and direct office visitors.
Qualifications:
Experience as a Legal Assistant or Administrative Assistant required; litigation experience preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Strong communication skills and a professional, client-focused demeanor.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask, manage priorities, and work under deadlines.
Flexible and dependable, with a commitment to confidentiality and discretion.
