Job Description

A well-established and highly respected independent crop input retailer is seeking a Sales Agronomist to support growers in the Northwest Iowa region. This consultative sales position focuses on delivering agronomic solutions that help producers achieve optimal yields and profitability. Responsibilities include working directly with growers to provide crop input recommendations, precision ag services, and agronomic expertise tailored to their specific needs. Backed by a team that values integrity, personalized service, and long-term customer partnerships, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain relationships with growers throughout the region.

  • Provide agronomic consulting services including crop protection, seed, and nutrient recommendations.

  • Promote and sell crop inputs and precision ag services.

  • Assist customers with planning, scouting, and decision-making throughout the growing season.

  • Stay informed on current agronomy practices, technologies, and industry trends to support customer success.

  • Partner with internal teams to coordinate logistics, application services, and ensure seamless customer service.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of agronomy sales or agronomic consulting experience preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of crop inputs, precision agriculture, and crop production practices.

  • Ability to build trust and credibility with growers and act as a trusted advisor.

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a sales territory.

  • CCA (Certified Crop Advisor) certification is a plus but not required.
