Firm:Boutique Divorce & Family Law Practice

About: 
Our esteemed client's boutique law firm’s Matrimonial Department specializes in all facets of family law, with a strong emphasis on complex financial disputes, particularly those with international considerations involving tax and trust issues. They also handle sensitive matters relating to child custody, access, and international movement, including cases involving mental health challenges, substance abuse, and domestic violence. Additionally, we advise trustees on ramifications of marriage, civil partnerships, or separations, with a notable focus on pre-nuptials with a global perspective.

The Role:
They are seeking a talented and dedicated Associate Attorney with 3 to 10 years of experience practicing matrimonial and family law. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in advising on all areas of family law, including complex financial disputes, child custody matters, and marital agreements. Experience in criminal law and fluency in additional languages are a plus.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

- Admitted to and in good standing with the New York State Bar
- Proven experience handling both contentious and non-contentious family law matters
- Strong expertise in divorce, paternity, financial disputes, marital agreements, and child custody issues
- Experience managing all stages of discovery, litigation, depositions, motions, and hearings
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to the department’s growth and reputation
- Excellent client relationship management and communication skills
- Ability to independently oversee case aspects with guidance from senior partners
- Willingness to participate in client meetings, case strategy development, and business development initiatives
