We're Hiring: Mid- to Senior-Level Intellectual Property Associate Attorney - Pittsburgh, PA

Our nationally recognized Intellectual Property team is growing—and we’re looking for a driven Intellectual Property Associate (Mid- to Senior-Level) to join us in Pittsburgh, PA or any of our other firm offices.

What You’ll Do:
✔ Interview inventors and prepare technically sound, strategic patent applications
✔ Handle all aspects of U.S. and foreign patent prosecution, including ex parte appeals
✔ Conduct validity, infringement, and freedom-to-operate studies, with supporting opinion letters
✔ Provide legal guidance on patent, trademark, copyright, and basic licensing issues
✔ Gain experience in IP licensing and litigation
✔ Work closely with partners, associates, and staff to ensure seamless case management
✔ Stay ahead of IP trends and contribute to our thought leadership
What We’re Looking For:
🔹 2–5 years of hands-on patent prosecution experience
🔹 JD from an accredited law school
🔹 Technical degree (BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar preferred)
🔹 Registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (or Patent Bar eligible)
🔹 Exceptional legal writing and analytical skills
🔹 Deep understanding of IP law—bonus if you bring litigation experience too
