Position Overview:
We are looking for an Insurance Defense Attorney with 2-8 years of experience to handle a variety of complex insurance defense matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in defending clients in general liability, automobile liability, premises liability, and other related insurance defense cases. Key Responsibilities:
Represent clients in insurance defense matters, including case preparation, discovery, depositions, hearings, and trials.
Handle cases involving general liability, auto liability, premises liability, and more.
Develop and execute litigation strategies tailored to clients' needs.
Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and other stakeholders.
Manage and prioritize a caseload with minimal supervision.
Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members to drive case strategy and ensure successful outcomes.
Stay up-to-date with developments in insurance law and relevant legal precedents.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the New York State Bar.
2-8 years of experience in insurance defense or a related field.
Strong knowledge of insurance defense law and litigation procedures.
Proven experience in managing a caseload and providing legal advice to clients.
Excellent research, writing, and oral communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
