Fleet Equipment Mechanic

We’re seeking a skilled Equipment Technician to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems on truck-mounted equipment. This hands-on role ensures rental units are serviced, safe, and ready for deployment.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.

  • Interpret and work from electrical and hydraulic schematics.

  • Perform preventive maintenance across chassis, vacuum systems, and related components.

  • Ensure all repairs meet DOT and OEM standards.

  • Conduct check-in/check-out inspections and document all work performed.

  • Maintain a clean, organized shop that meets operational standards.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • 4+ years of verifiable experience as a technician or mechanic.

  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems; ability to read technical schematics.

  • Experience with truck-mounted vacuum or similar industrial equipment preferred.

  • Able to perform DOT inspections.

  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

  • Must provide a complete basic hand tool set; large and specialty tools are supplied.
