Probate Litigation Attorney (Hybrid)

One of our top clients is seeking a skilled and experienced Probate Litigation Attorney with at least 5 years of experience to join our California team. This is a hybrid role offering flexibility while handling complex and impactful probate litigation matters. We are looking for a driven individual with a strong understanding of probate law, a proven track record of success, and the ability to meet a minimum billable hour requirement. Preference will be given to candidates with experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in probate matters.
Responsibilities:
- Independently manage and litigate a variety of probate disputes, including will contests, trust disputes, fiduciary litigation, and conservatorships.
- Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis related to probate law.
- Draft and file petitions, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
- Conduct and defend depositions and other discovery.
- Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
- Develop and implement effective litigation strategies.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, beneficiaries, and the court.
- Meet a minimum annual requirement of 1400 billable hours.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the California State Bar.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience practicing probate litigation.
- Preference for candidates with experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in probate matters.
- Strong knowledge of California probate law and procedure.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage a complex caseload and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
