Maintenance Manager

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Manager to lead the operational and fiscal activities of our Kansas City Maintenance Department. This role plays a critical part in maintaining facility and equipment efficiency while fostering a high-performance team environment. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in manufacturing maintenance—experience with press brakes, punch presses, roll forming, or laser equipment, or prior work in metal manufacturing is a significant plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day operations of the Maintenance Department, including budgeting, staffing, and goal setting.
  • Develop and implement systems and procedures to improve departmental performance and reduce costs.
  • Manage preventive and total productive maintenance (PM/TPM) programs aligned with OSHA standards.
  • Oversee facility projects and repairs, coordinating with Engineering and maintenance management systems.
  • Hire, train, and mentor maintenance staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and talent development.
  • Collaborate closely with the Plant Manager to ensure efficient delivery of maintenance services.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required; higher education or technical certifications preferred.
  • 5+ years of maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with Maintenance Management Systems and MS Office.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement principles is a plus.

Preferred Experience:

  • Hands-on knowledge of metal manufacturing processes and equipment such as press brakes, punch presses, roll forming machines, and laser cutters.
