Commercial Title Reader - Remote
One of the Northeast region’s largest Title Insurance Agencies has an immediate opening for a Commercial Title Reader to join their dynamic NY team!
Are you a title professional with deep knowledge of New York commercial transactions? If you’ve spent years in the trenches of NY files, understand the nuances of complex commercial deals, and can spot title issues a mile away, we’d like to hear from you! This is a New York Reader role – NY title experience is required.
This is a remote (work-from-home) position!
Key Responsibilities
- Dive into commercial title searches with a focus on New York transactions.
- Review legal documents, maps, surveys, and plats, resolving inconsistencies and preparing bulletproof commitments.
- Draft, revise, and finalize clear and concise title commitments with all matters of record.
- Collaborate with attorneys, lenders, realtors, and internal teams to move deals across the finish line.
- Use title production software (SoftPro experience is a plus) to keep records updated and accurate.
- Write compelling cover letters that summarize key title issues.
- Be a go-to resource for our examination team on NY-specific title laws, standards, and best practices.
- Coordinate with underwriting counsel as needed to support smooth, compliant closings.
Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of commercial title experience with a clear focus on New York files (required).
- Confidence working with complex legal and title documents.
- Strong grasp of New York title insurance standards and underwriting guidelines.
- Ability to stay organized while juggling multiple files and deadlines.
- High School Diploma.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree a plus.
- A problem-solving mindset and a passion for getting the details right.

Salary Range: $80,000-$120,000
